Where are you located?
La Brasa is located at 903 Manchester Street, STE. 160, in the historic Distillery District of Lexington, less than a half mile from downtown and Rupp Arena & Convention Center. You can spot our location by our natural wood doors under our sign, facing Manchester Street.
How many guests can you accommodate?
We offer two different event spaces that are available together or separately to accommodate varying group sizes and needs.
Our Grand Hall is an indoor venue, with an exclusive entrance into La Brasa. The Grand Hall features a distinct and open space with over 7,500 square feet! Grand Hall can accommodate a maximum of 440 seated guests.
Our Fountain Hall provides a more intimate indoor/outdoor combination setting with 1,900 square feet of indoor space, and 900 square feet of outdoor patio space. The indoor space features a beautiful running fountain set in front of a custom tile wall of earthy blue and green tones. The Fountain Hall can accommodate a maximum of 75 seated guests or up to 95 standing guests. The Fountain Hall can utilize an exclusive outdoor patio entrance, or an entrance through the Mazunte Bodega.
Does a Venue Coordinator have the same role as a Wedding Planner?
Great question! The answer is that they are very different roles that can offer a range of services for you during the process. We like to be very clear that we are happy to work with your wedding planner of choice! Sometimes, that can be a family member, a certified professional, or a friend. On the day of the event, our coordinator will work with a member of your party (typically the planner or selected friend/family member) to make sure that everything is as it should be.
At La Brasa, the Venue Coordinator’s role is to answer any questions pertaining to the venue on the day of your event to include audio visual equipment, lighting, power/connections, catering kitchen, storage, and more. We will assist with mapping out a floor plan and the setup of venue-provided tables and chairs on the day of the event.
Note: we are unable to be responsible for setup or removal of plateware/tableware, linens, or decor.
Will a manager/coordinator be present to oversee my event until the end of the day?
A member of our staff will be dedicated to your party from 9am to 11pm to help with any questions pertaining to the venue. This includes assistance with floor plan setup, audio visual needs, bathroom upkeep, questions regarding directions, parking, and more.
It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure the setup and removal of items related to outside vendors including equipment, tableware, linens, decorations, catering, and music.
Is there parking for all of my guests?
There are paid public parking lots across Manchester Street and next to the Manchester Music Hall. In addition, the adjacent Manchester Hotel has valet parking along with parking for hotel guests. For larger groups, we can answer questions and offer suggestions such as shuttle services to ensure your needs are met.
Are there hotels nearby?
Yes! We are conveniently located next door to a boutique hotel and a short distance away from downtown Lexington hotels. We are happy to help you navigate your needs, based on the event.
What items will I need to rent for my event?
We want our guests to have the ability to customize their party and decor.
Included in your rental are 5-foot (60”) diameter round tables to accommodate up to 200 seated guests. We offer a limited number of rectangular and high-top tables as well. Our venue coordinator will help customize a floor plan for your group and setup tables and chairs prior to your arrival.
What is the rental timeframe?
La Brasa strives to be accessible and affordable by offering a variety of rental options. We have both half-day and full-day rentals. Half-day rentals include 6 hours of access time to the space. This rental is ideal for events that last 3-4 hours.
Full-day rentals include 14 hours of access time to the space. This rental is ideal for themed events with extensive set up plans, multiple vendors, and sit-down dining.
Can I get ready for my event at the venue?
Yes! We have a small private bridal suite on-site for pre-ceremony, changing, storage, and intimate moments. It is equipped with electrical outlets, mirrors and lighting. Ask our Venue Coordinator about our bridal food and beverage packages.
Can I decorate the space?
Of course! When you rent with us, the space is yours for the entirety of your access time. Our on-site coordinators and Sales Director have a plethora of customization options. For any decorations added to the ceiling in our spaces, we do require a vendor with a current Certificate of Insurance to install the decorations. If you bring it in the space, we ask that you remove it the same day/night of your event. For rented items, we will do our best to work with vendors to accommodate drop off/pick up times that may fall outside of the event day/night.
